Southern California Wildfire Fund

United Way organizations in Southern California worked together to establish the Southern California Wildfire Fund to help the victims of the devastating wildfires. The fund will focus primarily on long-term recovery to ensure community-wide healing. United Ways will convene volunteer committees of local community leaders to review applications from support agencies and develop strategies to address the needs of the communities affected.  The fund was promoted on the Ellen DeGeneres Show’s website, http://ellen.warnerbros.com/2008/11/its_not_too_late_to_help_victi.php
